Explore Tokyo with Connections returns for 2027 in partnership with Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau

Connections Luxury and Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau have announced the return of Explore Tokyo with Connections, taking place from 14–17 February 2027.
Returning for its fifth edition, the event will bring together an international community of senior luxury travel professionals for three days of curated one-to-one meetings, cultural experiences and destination-led networking across Tokyo.
As the opening edition in the 2027 Explore series, the programme has been designed to give international luxury travel buyers deeper insight into one of the world’s most layered and fast-evolving luxury destinations, connecting them directly with Tokyo’s leading hotels, experience providers and hospitality brands.
Few cities balance heritage and innovation quite like Tokyo. From long-established traditions and craftsmanship to contemporary hospitality, design and gastronomy, the city continues to evolve its luxury offering while retaining a strong sense of identity. Through the programme, attendees will experience Tokyo beyond the expected, with immersive experiences designed to bring the destination to life outside the meeting setting.
Structured one-to-one meetings will sit at the heart of the programme, alongside curated local experiences designed to encourage more natural conversations and stronger long-term business relationships, a format central to the Connections Way.
The programme will showcase Tokyo's unique cultural identity shaped by centuries of tradition and modernity. Featured properties include The Peninsula Tokyo, 1 Hotel Tokyo and The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel, with the programme also featuring an exclusive event at the adjacent Akasaka Prince Classic House, a Tokyo cultural landmark. Buyers joining the post-event FAM trip from 17-20 February will be hosted at Palace Hotel Tokyo for a deeper exploration of the city beyond the centre.

Explore Tokyo with Connections will take place from 14–17 February 2027. Applications for international luxury travel designers will open on 12 June 2026, while Tokyo-based luxury travel suppliers and partners can apply directly via Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau.
